What is Image Playground?
Image Playground is Apple’s generative image AI feature that creates images based on text descriptions. When integrated into Craft, it lets you generate and insert images directly into your documents with just a few taps or clicks. The generated images are created on-device using Apple Intelligence, ensuring your privacy while providing quick, creative visual content.Image Playground processes everything on your device using Apple Intelligence. No data is sent to external servers, and your prompts remain completely private.
Requirements
To use Image Playground in Craft, you need:- iOS 18.2 or later for iPhone and iPad
- macOS 15.2 (Sequoia) or later for Mac
- Compatible device with Apple Intelligence support
- Apple Intelligence enabled in System Settings

Editing and Regenerating
If the first generated image doesn’t match your vision, you can easily refine it:- Regenerate – Create a new variation using the same prompt and style
- Edit prompt – Modify your text description to adjust the result
- Change style – Switch between Animation, Illustration, and Sketch styles
- Try again – Generate completely new interpretations
